This logo stands for the fact that the residents of the neighbourhood of Winterslag, even though they technically live in the city of Genk, feel different, special. This is a place where they feel at home, where so many memories exist but also continue to be made. From the ‘viezemannen’ (dirty men) from the former football club, KFC Winterslag that once beat the English team Arsenal in a stadium that doesn’t exist anymore to the most delicious and authentic Itallian Arrosticini (skewered and seasoned mutton) that you can find in the entire region, Winterslag has earned its love from the people who call it home.
